Rock General

Recording also under the guise of Instrumental band Instrumas with Sim (keyboards/orchestration)/Wingo (bass)/Doog (drums/percussion) and Nomi (guitars). Also under the guise of Reiki Relaxation "God" Bragi (Norse God of Poetry). This is my catalogue of the music I made. Now a music journalist and blogger reviewing albums on my own review site. I have been writing poems and song lyrics since age 14 and since the 2000s recording various music.
Band/artist history
I have been writing poems and song lyrics since the age of 14, in the late 90s I started making my own songs with a little Casio keyboard then having fun singing sessions with my guitarist brother and various friends. We recorded a couple of rough cuts of my own songs and I also joined the ISA (International Songwriters Association). Using session musicians the ISA recorded professional demos for me but they were missing something, my own stamp. I started using MH20.com online studio and recorded my first two albums with that. From 2005 I was using Sony ACID Xpress 5.0 music studio with much better production. I sold a few copies of my first three albums on CD through the old ArtistLaunch site, the other albums I put out digitally over various music sites. I had music played on various countries' Internet Radio sites and claimed Finalist awards in Song of the Year in 2004 ("Little Miss M" and 2007 "Memory of Love"and a Runner-up award in 2008 (Past Reflections, Future Dreams". I continued 'til the end of the 2000s making music before looking at a Music Journalism Diploma and writing about music instead. I have good memories of making music all those years ago, was a lot of fun :)
Have you performed in front of an audience?
No, all my music was recorded live at home which is why some production quality varies.
Your musical influences
My influences are varied from Adam Ant and Prince to Madonna, Blondie and Bon Jovi. I listen to everything and always made my own mind up, not following the sheep. I wanted my music to sound like nothing else. I suppose Prince gave me a lot of ideas how to not be a one trick pony, hence my music is wide and varied and experimental.
What equipment do you use?
As I stated before, first was the MH20.com online studio then for many years Sony ACID Xpress 5.0
Anything else?
I put my music back up here because I think I made some good songs. Maybe they would resonate with someone and provoke some emotion or memory or just to enjoy :) I always said at the time if one person finds something in just one of my songs its an achievement and I succeeded in what I set out to do.
